Captain Tom 100 fundraiser

Posted in Fundraising

Headway Swindon are inviting you all to take part in the ‘Captain Tom 100’ fundraiser.

On the 6th April 2020, Captain Sir Tom Moore set out on his journey to complete 100 laps around his garden in the hope to raise £1,000 for the NHS during the pandemic.

Massively exceeding his target, Captain Tom had raise an incredible £38.9 million for the NHS COVID-19 appeal.

Now it’s your turn!

Headway Swindon, like many other charities have struggled with funding throughout the COVID-19 pandemic with having to cancel hundreds of fundraising events. In light of this, we would proudly like to invite all of our supporters to take part in the Captain Tom 100 to support of Headway Swindon.

All you need to do is simply take on a challenge based around the number 100 at anytime and anywhere over what would have been his 101st birthday weekend – starting on Friday 30th April – Monday 3rd May 2021.

Need some ideas? Click here.

To take part all you need to do is:

  • Set up you JustGiving or Virgin Money Fundraising page
  • Ask your friends and family to sponsor you
  • Complete your Captain Tom 100 challenge between Friday 30th April  and Monday 3rd May 2021

Thank you for supporting Headway Swindon – Have fun!
